Trico proudly introduces its Power Quality Protection Program!

What is Power Quality Protection?

Trico offers surge protection that eliminates or minimizes any damage to your connected equipment.

Did you know that some surges can come from outside your home (lightning strikes or disturbances on power lines), but that they can also be generated from other appliances right inside your home?

Trico offers two lines of defense:

  1. A "whole house" device at the meter that protects “standard white appliances” (washer, dryer, refrigerator, etc)
  2. Plug strips that protect connected electronic equipment (computers, TV, VCR, etc.)

How much does is cost?

There is a one-time $49.95 start-up fee, paid at the time you begin service. Afterward there is a monthly fee of $5.95 for a minimum of three years.

How do I sign up?

Just call Trico and request a lease agreement and return it along with the $49.95 start up fee. You will be notified within three weeks of the installation/delivery date.

How will I be billed?

The monthly fee will appear on your regular Trico electric bill.

What if I sign up, then decide I don’t want to participate?

Just contact the Trico customer service department. Please note that this program requires a signed three-year lease agreement that automatically renews.

*To participate in the program you must lease the equipment for a minimum of three years. Nonpayment of the monthly fee will void insurance coverage even if Trico has not yet removed the surge suppression equipment. The indoor protection modules remain Trico's property for the first three years
