Do you know that Trico has a charitable organization that helps members in need? Do you also know that you can help by participating in Operation Round-Up (ORU)?
The Charitable Trust donates funds collected through Operation Round-Up to deserving Trico members, schools and organizations in your communities.
Operation Round-Up is a program that enables you to round up your bill, with the extra change going to the ORU fund.
Say your electric bill is $52.73. If you participate in ORU, your bill is automatically rounded up to $53, with the extra 27 cents going to the ORU fund.
In the Trust’s 10 years, it has given more than $340,000 of your ORU donations to needy people and organizations! ORU donations have helped individuals going through tough times by giving them a helping hand. ORU donations have also helped purchase children’s books for the Green Valley Assistance Home Library Project. They have provided clothing for needy children through the Saddlebrooke Community Outreach Kids’ Closet clothing bank and they have helped adults find employment through the Interfaith Community Services “Job Readiness” Program.
Many schools have benefitted from ORU donations, too, from funds for books, batteries, quizzes and listening centers for the Tools for Literacy Program at Roadrunner Elementary School, to the Sahuarita High School Marching band’s costumes, props, music and drill for their WWII Tribute Show, to offseting the cost of yearbooks for Altar Valley Middle School students.
