ATTENTION! Change to SunWatts Rebate Program!

Pending approval by the Arizona Corporation Commission, rebate applications for photovolatic systems up to 10kW in size received after July 15, 2010, will be subject to a reduced incentive of $1.50 per installed Watt up to 30% of the total cost of the system. The current incentive is $3.00 per installed Watt up to 40% of the total cost of the system.

** Renewable Energy Generation systems that qualify for Performance-Based Incentives (PBIs) will be subject to a competitive selection process; therefore, renewable energy credit (REC) pricing should be competitive.

Performance-based Incentive (PBI) program requirements:

•    Eligible Renewable Energy Generation systems must be over 10 kW but less than 1 MW.
     Projects 1 MW and larger are negotiated on a per-project basis relative to current market conditions.
•    Eligible Renewable Energy Generation systems will serve a Trico member/load.
•    Eligible Renewable Energy Generation system will meet Trico’s Interconnection requirements.
•    Projects are evaluated and selected quarterly.
•    Evaluation includes: proposed REC price; community and system benefits; program budget; system
      output, and other considerations.
•    Top projects are awarded until budget for quarter is exhausted.
•    Remaining projects can be resubmitted the following quarter.
•    Installation must be completed within 8 months of acceptance or project must be resubmitted.

SunWatts renewable energy rebate funds are temporarily exhausted.

Trico is accepting rebate applications. All confirmed and approved applications are being placed on a rebate reservation list. When funding for the program becomes available, rebates will be paid according to one's position on the reservation list AND a completed inspection. Applicants must complete their inspection within six months of their application date to maintain their reservation. Trico estimates the current wait time for rebate funding is approximately 24 months from the time of reserving your position on the reservation waiting list.
