Annual Meeting
As our owners, all Trico members are invited to participate in the co-op’s annual meeting. This event provides members with information about the co-op’s growth, financial health and programs. More important, it gives members the opportunity to elect Trico’s governing board.
Highlights of the 2010 Annual Meeting:
Save energy = Save money!
“We appreciated people taking time on a Saturday to attend,” says Vin Nitido, Trico’s General Manager and CEO.
Directors Marsha Thompson, District 4 (Sahuarita area), and George Davies, District 7 (Saddlebrooke; Mt. Lemmon) each addressed the audience and thanked them for their support of the co-op. Each director ran unoppossed for re-election in their District.
After the business meeting, people learned how to trim their summer electric bills in an energy efficiency workshop. Everyone also received Home Energy Efficiency kits so they could put what they’d learned to use.
“The workshop was a positive message,” Nitido said. “It showed members inexpensive, easy things they can do to save money.”
A raffle drawing took place at the close of the meeting. Clayton Clark of Vail was the grand prize winner of a 2000 Chevy half-ton, 4x4 truck. (see photo above)
“I’m ecstatic,” Clark said. “It’s not why I came, but I’m very happy.”
Mary Langley of Sahuarita won one year of Hi-Speed Internet and Digital Phone service from Wi-POWER. •
