Trico's Rates
Residential and Non-Residential Rates
The cost to provide electric service has risen dramatically in recent years. In order to maintain positive margins and to continue providing safe, reliable service, Trico had to increase its rates.
These rates, which were approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC), went into effect on August 1, 2009.
Trico's new rate is $.121 per kilowatt-hour with a fixed monthly charge of $15.
See the links below for more details on Trico's rates. Please also see our Rate News page for more background on the rates.

Trico's Time-of-Use (TOU) program's rates will also change, effective October 1. The new rates are $0.1932 per kWh for on-peak usage and $0.0732 for off-peak usage. This represents a roughly 30 percent increase over Trico's old TOU rates. TOU hours remain the same (see TOU table). Click here to view the ACC's final order on Trico's TOU rates.
If you have the flexibility to shift your energy usage to certain times during the day, you might consider going on Trico’s TOU program.
Members on TOU rate pay a higher rate—$0.1932 per kilowatt hour—if they use energy during on-peak hours. However, they pay a much lower rate—$0.0732—if they use energy during off-peak hours. (See TOU table for details).
If you’re considering signing up for TOU, you need to do a careful analysis of how—and when—you currently use energy. And you will have to detemine if it’s possible for you to shift enough of your energy usage to off-peak hours in order to see a savings. The typical TOU customer shifts about 67% of their energy usage to off-peak hours.
