2009 Operation Cool Shade Program
What is Operation Cool Shade? It's an energy conservation project designed to help Trico customers reduce their energy costs. Each summer, Trico offers discounted shade trees to its customers with the goal of reducing the customer's summer energy bills. When the trees mature, they provide shade and keep the customer's house cool, meaning the customer will use less energy keeping their home cool! Please note that all trees for this year's Operation Cool Shade program are SOLD OUT!
Operation Cool Shade classes:
If you purchased trees through the Operation Cool Shade program, you can get an additional $5 off by attending one of these classes. (Classes are open only to people that purchased trees through this year's Operation Cool Shade program.)
- Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. -- Trico Headquarters, 8600 W. Tangerine Rd.
- Saturday, Sept. 26 at 9 a.m. -- Trico Headquarters, 8600 W. Tangerine Rd.
- Saturday, Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. -- Sahuarita Auditorium, 350 W. Sahuarita Rd.
We order from reputable growers and the success rate of trees from past Cool Shade programs is very high. Each member may order up to three trees. Sorry, we can’t offer more trees to those with multiple accounts. Trees must be planted on the east, west or south side of your house to provide maximum shading value.
Tree pick-up day is scheduled for Saturday, November 7th.
