Trico can help its residential members identify where a home uses energy and how that energy may be used more efficiently. A member services representative can conduct an energy survey over the telephone or you may ask for an energy savings pamphlet and survey form to review at your convenience. We also offer an online home energy audit tool to help you. Click here to be transferred to the audit website.
During the telephone survey, we'll analyze your billing data to identify trends and variances, then conduct an informal survey of your home. Leaking water heaters, refrigerator/freezer compressor failure, and defrosting cycle malfunction can greatly affect electric consumption of the appliance. You'll also be asked about the construction of your home, thermostat settings and appliance maintenance schedules. Next we'll make recommendations that can help you save money.
