Requirements: Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in electric engineering with five-years experience in the operation and maintenance of electric distribution line equipment, apparatus, electric substations, revenue metering or equivalent. Project Management certification and experience is desired. Must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of electric distribution including remote operation of devices, system capacities and limitations, inspection and testing techniques, computer use, and communications. Must be able to motivate people and accomplish required work through other people, assist in job training and safety activities.
Primary Duties: This position has overall responsibility and accountability for the performance and efficiency of the employees assigned to him and the work they perform with the goal to achieve maximum reliability of Trico’s electric distribution system by mitigating and solving customer problems and complaints, tracking problems, scheduling employees’ work, assisting in outage handling and making corrections to improve electric system operation, reliability, and efficiency. This position must assist in planning the maintenance and operation for the areas of the electric system for which he is responsible, budget for funds and manpower to complete the plans, utilize and oversee contractors as necessary, coordinate with other departments at Trico, serve on-call duties, and perform any other duties necessary to maintain the electric plant in good condition and provide electric service that meets the standards set by the Trico Board of Directors.
This position works with employees performing the general supervision, operation and maintenance of high voltage power line equipment, substations, metering, power quality, spill prevention and counter measures plan, FERC under frequency load shedding plan, Arizona load curtailment plan, distributive generation, solar generation, Mt. Lemmon and headquarters backup generator preventive maintenance and supervisory control and data acquisition systems. This position is responsible for ensuring that Trico’s equipment and the employees under his supervision comply with all ADEQ and Federal environmental programs and air quality standards; observes and directs employees in the field, office and shop; schedules work; performs on-call duties as needed; assists in outages; prepares and directs switching; enforces rules, regulations, procedures and policies; interfaces with and problem-solves with members and contractors; assists in planning and budgeting functions; and handles personnel issues.
This position’s work is performed both inside and outside, so the heat of summer and the cold of winter will be experienced. The environment may be dusty and dirty at times, and there may be exposure to various chemicals such as oils, solvents, etc. There may be occasional overtime or irregular hours to respond to trouble calls.

WAREHOUSE HELPER

Salary Range: $14.53 / $15.29
Requirements: Applicant must have a high school diploma, a valid AZ state driver’s license and must work towards obtaining and maintaining a valid CDL AZ State Drivers License by the end of a 6-month probationary period, and obtaining a valid forklift operator’s certificate. Skills in the areas of organizing, planning, and controlling warehouse inventory or knowledge of electric utility operations are preferred. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work irregular and/or overtime as required. Work will be carried out in the warehouse, office, as well as the field. Out-of-town travel may be required from time-to-time for meetings, workshops and professional development.
Primary Duties: Responsible for developing skills necessary for assisting in receiving, storing and issuing all material used in the daily operation of the cooperative. Some items are moved by various styles of fork trucks and for some duties, the operator may need to mount and dismount several times to complete the tasks. Environment is dusty and dirty. Warehouse is hot/cold. The position works around chemicals such as pole preservatives and cable cleaner. Position requires ability to work with a computer to accurately input material control items and the ability to maintain proper charge out and receiving paperwork. Skills in basic mathematics are essential to assist with physical inventory and warehouse controls. Person must be able to work with and maintain good relations with outside suppliers, contractors, at all times, creating a good public image for Trico.

Requirements: Must have a high school diploma and have completed an approved and recognized 4-year apprenticeship program for the trade of “Journeyman Lineman” or have a minimum of five (5) years experience in proven power lineman work. Must be able to secure a valid Arizona Commercial Driver’s License and maintain such by compliance with ADOT guidelines and standards. Must be able to work overtime, as necessary. Knowledge of Rural Utilities Service specifications and construction is preferred. Must reside in the immediate area of Sahuarita/Green Valley.
Primary Duties: The Journeyman Lineman (Outpost) position works with the outside crews in constructing and maintaining high voltage power lines. This involves setting poles, changing pole equipment, stringing and sagging wire, and handling oil-filled equipment. They will also pull, lay, and terminate underground cable and install pad-mounted equipment. The work requires him to work on poles, in bucket trucks, in heights, in close proximity to high voltages, in trenches, in vaults, and to operate and work around heavy equipment. The work is predominantly outside and so he will experience the heat of the summer and the cold of the winter. It is also a dusty, dirty environment at times and requires overtime and irregular hours. The position works around various chemicals such as pole preservatives, oils, solvents, etc.
