Automatic Bill Payment Plan
What is Bankdraft?
Trico’s Bankdraft program allows you to pay your bills by electronic transfers from your bank to Trico's bank on the due date. We offer this service to all Trico customers, through any bank, savings & loan, or credit union that is a member of the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Association.
How do I sign up?
You may sign up for Bankdraft in one of the following ways:
How will I know how much my bill is?
Trico will continue to send you a billing statement; however, a message will appear on it stating:
"THIS BILL WILL BE PAID BY BANK DRAFT ON (DATE OF PAYMENT)."
How will my bill be paid?
Trico will inform its banking institution of the amount owed and the date it is due. Our bank will transmit the information to the ACH to have the bill amount automatically deducted from your bank account on the date stated on your monthly billing statement.
Can I designate the date for the deduction to take place?
No! The deduction date is determined by the due date shown on your monthly bill. This is based on the date your bill is processed. The due date should be on or around the same date each month.
What if I have questions about my bill?
Contact Trico immediately! Trico conducts daily bill reviews to catch obvious errors. If an error is found, the bill will be adjusted prior to sending the file to the bank. You will receive a corrected bill in the mail.
When does it start?
The first month is a pre-note period, where the bank verifies your account number, financial institution number and branch number. We make sure your account has been billed for the month that we receive your application before sending the pre-note to the bank. Once we pre-note your account, the following month's bill should start with Bankdraft. A message will appear on your bill advising you that it will be paid by Bankdraft and the date your bank account will be drafted, which will be twelve (12) days after the date of the bill.
If you're account is on BUDGET BILLING, two amounts will appear on your bill – the budget billing average and the actual bill total. The budget billing average, not the bill total, is what is deducted from your account.
Can I stop this automated payment plan?
Yes, simply contact a Trico Member Representative.
When do I stop mailing my payments?
Upon notification from Trico.
How much will be deducted if I am on Budget Billing?
The amount shown as "Amount Due" found on the bottom of your bill. If you are also contributing to Operation Round Up, the amount due may be more than your budget billing amount.
